This may seem completely contradictory to my constant complaining about health and lack of available free time, but if you are ever interested in selling your site please give me a heads up!

I STRONGLY encourage each and every one of you to keep on blogging!!! But realistically some will give up…and there have been a couple of sites that I have seen quit in my time, some that I collaborated with quite a bit, and I missed my opportunity in making an offer on their site when they faded away…now they are out there in blogging purgatory, still live but with no new content.  So I figured if anyone should ever suffer burnout or just lose their lack of blogging motivation, they could shoot me an email at justinweinger@aol.com to negotiate a sale.

A friend and I want to collaborate on a site together, and neither of us want to make one up from scratch.  I'll be starting a niche site soon, so he will be heading this other one up, and we agreed to just start when a good opportunity presents itself.

Good thinking.  We'd entertain buying another site as well.

I'd also collaborate (obviously I love that word today lol) with another Yakezie member if they were interested… 50/50 split.  I have seen a couple other members do this successfully.

This works great for Jesse and me.  We've bought 3 sites already and are looking for 1-2 a month.  Laugh

I would definitely be up for a joint venture with another Yakezie member if they would be interested in having me!  If this involved buying another site together, I would definitely be up for that.

Personally, I have nothing against owning and running multiple sites. But I prefer to work on one site, and make it hugely successful (which I"m not, yet). Just my two cents.Wink

Crystal and Jesse have a good thing going!  They have definitely built up overly successful sites, so expanding is a good thing.  I could never do this on my own, but I have a friend who is getting involved with me, so money and content isn't an issue at all…I have a harder time keeping up my own blog since it's my baby, and so far i have been the only writer.

Other than buying yakezie sites, where do you typically look for sites to purchase?

I've bought one site and it has worked out very well for me.  I'd like to buy more but it is hard to find good sites for sale.

i've just started looking at this site.  Right now I have no idea what's a good deal or not but it's interesting to see some of the history.

How do you judge whether a site is worth going after?

I'm not really interested in a second 'personal' finance blog but a joint venture would be a cool thing, so if anybody's looking to go halfsies (or thirdsies *lol*) keep me in mind!

I'm definitely looking for another PF blog.  I have been on Flippa a few times, but it's hard to navigate and find anything personal finance related.  There is a yakezie challenger (at least a previous one) selling their site on there….but requesting quite a bit more than im interested in spending.

I couldn't have done this on my own either.  I have the cash but not the time.  Jesse had the time but appreciated help with funding and finding advertisers.  So this worked out great.  We try to buy quality sites and continue the themes with staff writers and occasional writing from Jesse too.

Man, I see a lot of competition growing up for  buying sites ;-)

I'm still in the buying business but only for site with 10,000 visits/month or more. If you are interested in selling and you are at that level, give ma a shout ;-)

Good job Evan, Daniel, Crystal & Jesse on building your empire ;-)
