Has anyone else been getting really atrocious CPC on AdSense recently? It's been more than a month since I've had a click worth more than a dollar. Today, I've had three clicks so far and I'm not up to 50 cents in earnings!

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Mine has gone really low for the past week or so.  Today was the first day that the clicks went back up.

My CPC has been well below a dollar for a few months.  I'm not even seeing $0.25.

Yeah mine have been the same for the past week or two…wondering if it has anything to do with the click bombing… I really dont have much of a clue as to how they price their ads etc., but my clicks are way up and my revenue is way down as of late.

I have an average of $0.15 for April but just started in March so I don't know what the usual is supposed to be?

Pauline, traditionally I was getting clicks in the 50 cents to a dollar range, but Therese days almost all of my clicks are in the sub- 10 cent range.

Mine are at that same level. I used to get clicks in the $1 – $3 range.

I also think it has something to do with everyone getting clickbombed. I actually just took my ads down to try to wait it out while I find a better plug in to prevent future click bombs.

Yeah, me too – I am getting more revenue from impressions than clicks – up to several hundred views, with 1-2 clicks (worth pennies) I do remember getting clicks in the several dollar range when the site first went up.

You should probably hide these numbers – it's against the Google TOS to share your CTR.

Thanks I'm trying to edit it now.

But why would my rate recalculate down (same number of clicks, a few more page views) and they decide to lower the payout rate?

Makes no sense to me?

As you've noticed, clicks aren't created equally – sometimes they are worth a bit more, sometimes a bit less.  Also, oyu might be a victim of click-bombing.  If Google determines your clicks aren't valid, they will not pay out for those clicks – so if only 1 of 10 clicks is valid, to use a random number, it'll make your CPC less.

Best thing to do it try to prevent those clicks – authorize only your site, screen CPC ads from people who might be unsavory, etc.

That is true. I have already authorized ads to display on only my sites. That said, I have a tough time believing I'm being clickbombed when I only average 2-3 clicks per day and make 10 cents.

I've noticed the same sort of decline in revenue. I had $40 in January and $15 in March with similar number of clicks.
