Method to Foster More Interaction on Guest Posts

Sometimes, when I host guest posts on my site, they can fail to elicit the same level of interaction/comments from the readers as when I write articles. In order to improve upon this, I've been adding a little "Jacob's Thoughts" section to the bottom of each guest post I host on my site. An example can be seen at the following link – http://www.mypersonalfinancejo…..se-to.html

I have enjoyed doing it because it gives me more of an incentive to read the article very closely and learn from it. It also gives me a chance to cross link between past articles on my site with ideas that tie in to the current article.

So far, it has also seemed to have encouraged people to write more comments!

Any one else tried this approach? How did it work? I think I've seen Crystal do this before at BFS.

Yeppers, "Crystal's Comments" adds a little of my flavor.  I keep it short usually and the best guest posters generate their own comment momentum…I've had a few guest posters I wish could staff write for me, lol.  :-)

Never tried it but sounds very effective. That's creative.

Good idea.  I've only put up one guest post from Broke Professionals during the last blog swap, and in re-visiting, I can see that I could have easily added a paragraph or two of my own.  It's no different than leaving a comment, just in a different spot.
