I went down by .1, but I'm really having a hard time taking all these different measures of trust and rank seriously.

I dropped by .4.  Does this have anything to do with the change by Google?

I always love seeing new updates come out. For those questioning its validity, I agree that it's not perfect. But, it does have a lot to do with how many links you have going into your site. It's not an issue of quality of material or professional look, etc. I have been trying to be aggressive with linkbacks and I hope it pays off with a PR (whenever the next update is).

@ Krantcents, I'm not sure if there is a correlation. I'll let someone who knows more of the technical stuff answer that.

I'm trying to check mine now.  If it's good I probably should try to promote that in the future, I've been using Google PR and Alexa with Klout, but more tools in the arsenal would be good.

Question…what's a decent Mozrank to share with potential advertisers?  Sometimes it's no bueno to share a stat that isn't strong so any suggestions?

Good point.  One could drive themselves crazy trying to understand and do things to improve these numbers, when chances are we'll never truly know what works and what doesn't.

I made a mistake, I only dropped .04!  I guess it is not an issue.

With PR updating a few times this past year I find mozRank is once again lacking importance to advertisers.  I never get asked what mine is, even when I offer to provide it they don't seem to care too much.

I made a mistake too, my drop was .01, but I still don't care Cool  It's crazy that there are so many ranking systems and they all use different metrics and criteria, that it would be impossible to satisfy all of them.  And don't even get me started with Google's "when it updates, it updates" approach to PR, that just garbage.  I'm going to continue writing and linking  and promoting like usual (well, maybe a little more than usual if I get the time), and let whatever happens, happen.

Yeah.  It was starting to gain some traction when G hadn't updated PR for over a year.  Now that they've been updating more recently, it seems to have lost that traction.  Which poses problems for those of us who have fallen from Google's good graces.

There was another mozrank update just yesterday. I noticed that my second site (Passive Income to Retire) got it's first mozrank of 3.73. Not huge, but not bad for it's first one…

Hope everyone else went up!

Corey

I have the MozBar installed but didn't notice that.  I did go up by a measly .02, but it's still better than sliding backward!

I went down by another 0.01.  I was around 5.25 a couple of months ago and have been slowly trending a bit down and am now at 5.12.  Not a huge difference but I'd like to start seeing it go back up at some point!  Soon!

OK, how do I do this one? Just when I have got the hang of one metric there is another one. Suspect that I still don't have this one!

Nice. a little bit of a bump and updates over some of my niche sites.

If you are trying to increase Moz rank I recommend the automatic SEO links plugin. It will automatically link certain words with the internal URLs of your choosing and strengthen linking within.

Maria, you are at a 4.1

What I did was install the mozbar which is a browser extension available for any browser.  Each time you do a search, the MozRank and some other related metrics are given right below each site in the google search results.  It's unintrusive, and very handy, especially when searching for a high-authorty site to link to.
