MSN Money Loves Us | Bloggers Lair | Yakezie Forums

I've noticed a phenomena lately.  Lots of Yakezie members' posts have been picked up and republished by MSN Money.  Have you gotten a bump in traffic and didn't know why?  I sure did.  It was because MSN linked to Sandy L at First Gen American and she had linked to me.  I followed the trail back and violá, lots of personal finance posts from Yakezie members.

So blog away, have great content that resonate with people and your post just might end up somewhere that you never expected it to land.  My heartfelt post on growing up poor not only inspired other bloggers, but has hit a nerve with many people.  It has surpassed every other post for the past two years as the most popular so far. Second runner up is about my tenant from hell.

Speaking of my tenant from hell, if you have a story about a roommate, tenant, landlord, or neighbor from hell, pop over to mytenantfromhell.com, register and submit your story!  I need some new ones.  Shameless plug, I know.

Jacob, they just reached out and asked if they could publish that specific post. They did this last year too, with an out of the blue email request to publish a specific post. It was all fine with me!

Traffic bump isn't what you might think – last time I got maybe 200 or so total visits from that post. But I'm sure the high quality link helps in other ways. Besides, it's just cool to be given the opportunity regardless of traffic!
