This question is for those who have multiple blogs and run them as a business.  Do you set up a separate business account for each blog and keep everything separate, or do you group everything into one business?

I haven't yet set up my second blog, but I planned on keeping it under the same LLC. It's still web income and it's done in a similar manner. I don't see anything wrong with keeping it under one.

Good question though. I'm interested to hear other weigh in on this one.

I'm not sure if there would be too many advantages to not combining them, for the average person.  Most people aren't setting up a protective LLC (and adequately funding same so that a corporate veil could not be pierced) for each blog anyway.  Then again, business/corporate law is NOT my specialty.  I bet a lot of people on this site can think of valid reasons to not combine.  I really can't, however.

Silly lawyers!  The best reason to keep them separate with individual LLCs is to avoid Adsense smartpricing. Wink

I keep them under one LLC.  I am not at the point to need to separate them out yet.  Hope to get there one day.

I still run everything as a sole proprietorship, so they're all under one umbrella.

Can you elaborate on that? What do you mean by Adsense smartpricing?

I currently have one account for everything, and one LLC.

Khaleef, JT is talking about the smart pricing I mentioned in my other post I think

http://yakezie.com/forums/blog…..-cut-to-10

So the more blogs you have under the same account the more impressions will be recorded and if you don't have a good CTR, you will be subjected to smart pricing.

That's a good point. Do you know if this evaluation is done on the overall account, or with each separate channel?

It's done on a per-account basis, which is why people register multiple tax IDs to have multiple accounts.  You could use the same address for 20 different accounts as long as they all had a unique tax ID Google would be cool with it.

All under one sole proprietorship so I can share the income and loss across all sites for tax reasons. All under one PayPal account for ease of reporting.
