Hey everyone!
I was just wondering what everyone is using for keeping track of their online lives lately.
I've personally had a huge push towards the cloud this year – I love Evernote, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Flipboard (for my reader).
What else are you guys using and why? I'm always interested in checking out new tech.

Evernote is a definite must have in my opinion. It's tremendous for taking and organizing notes as well as the web clipper feature.
I've been using Feedly for my reader ever since I discovered it a couple years ago. There's no real reason behind it ither than the fact that it came out before Flipboard and I never and a reason to make a move away from it.
I also use Dropbox on an almost everyday basis. It's great for keeping documents readily accessible at any time from any device.

I'm a big fan of Dropbox for storing the backed up xml files of my site. Google Drive is something that I use almost every day!

I was never able to get into Evernote. I do use the WordPress app from my phone frequent though. When I have a post idea, I'll save it as a draft to fresh out later

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I store my backups to Dropbox as well. I've also started keeping a backup of some of my computer files on Dropbox to be safe.

I have a tag set up – if I mail something to myself it gets a special label, and I go back later and either link to that piece or write something about it. Too old-school?

I use Dropbox and SugarSync to have two cloud folders and carry with me a journal to hand write to-do list.
Anything less or more has been a waste of time for me, and in my experience, hand writing is the best. I can see why Evernote can come handy, but for some reason, it didn't work for me.

I sometimes handwrite notes and then shoot a picture with my phone and send it to Evernote. Otherwise I eventually lose my notes. Doing this also makes everything searchable (Evernote will even OCR your handwriting to the extent possible).

I store my backups in Dropbox as well.
The software that has helped me the most is Dragon Naturally Speaking. I can dictate my posts (and even comments) directly onto the website, or I can record full articles while driving to work or during any other activity where I can talk into my phone or voice recorder. I can't tell you how much time this has saved and how much more productive I have been because of this.

Anyone use any type of writing software or blogging specific software? Lately I've heard a lot about Scrivener, but never tried it…

A lot of the other e-publishers I know swear by Scrivener, but I could never get the hang of it. For ebooks, I use Sigil

I have a 'Notepad' app on my smartphone that's replaced the physical notepad :)

Hootsuite is the way to go for Twitter. Highly recommend it. Also, Google Drive is great for storing docs and spreadsheets that can be accessed from anywhere.

Everything online I save is on dropbox. Have a big tabbed notebook for writing according to category, ie to do lists, blog, class notes, prof scholarship. Hootsuite, buffer, skype, google drive. I need to get used to evernote, seems like a really good resource.
Khaleef, fascinated that those dragon commercials are for real!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds Evernote pointless. I really tried to like it because so many people rave about it, but it drove me nuts. I use Reminders on iphone/mac instead – simple, has all I need, nothing I don't, and syncs through the cloud.
I've had mixed luck with the Wordpress app. Some functions don't work right on my phone but it's nice to do the basics.

Not sure if it's entirely related, but I use Pocket (On my Mac and iPhone) for saving articles on Twitter and the rest of the web.
I also write a lot of articles for my site via the Wordpress app for iOS.

I haven't seen the commercials, but the product is so good that I purchased a copy for Julie (my partner on the sites) as well. We even use it to respond to comments on the site and our YouTube channels!
