I've never been to a blog meetup or meetup of any kind.
Since we have a few Yakezie in and around the St. Louis, MO area, I thought it might be fun to organize a lunch meetup in the St. Louis area.
We are looking at Saturday, May 12 as a possibility.
Interested so far include: me, WorkSaveLive, SeeDebtRun, SenseOfCents

Ugh. I just typed a whole response and clicked "subscribe" to the thread before I submitted it…then it didn't hold my post when the screen refreshed.
Well, here's what I said:
Thanks John for putting all of this together. I'm seriously down to do the meetup as many of you are becoming my online friends. That's kind of weird how that happens…I laugh at myself when I talk to my wife about all of the new people I'm meeting through this network and our blogs.
Anyway, I wasn't planning on being in St. Louis until June or July. I was just there over Easter weekend and although it's only a 3 hour drive, our schedule gets a little hectic (even on the weekends). With that said, I have already promised my wife I'd go to her co-worker's wine tasting party the Saturday of the 12th.
You guys should still do it and maybe I can just catch the next one??

Jason, I don't mind still meeting up with everyone on the 12th, but (if I can talk for everyone…ha), we want to meet you too! When would be better for you? It's easy for me to say "yep, works for me…" when I LIVE HERE! You're traveling, though, so if there's a weekend that's better for you, just let us know. :) I think we can be accommodating, right guys?

I agree. If there are just a few of us, I'd rather do it on a date when everyone can come. St. Louis is less than a 2 hour drive for me, but I'd be willing to go a bit further west if it meant Jason didn't have to drive 3 hours. I have a lot of friends/family about a half hour from St. Louis so I'd be able to stay nearby.

I would love, too. It's just hard for me to "shoot up" to STL on a Saturday afternoon. STL is about 90 minutes from me, plus my oldest just started tee-ball and his games are Saturday mornings. Unfortunately, I might have to catch you all at FINCON.

I have no issues with meeting in St. Louis as my mom and her side of the family live there. I will just coincide the meetup with a trip out there to see them.
Let me talk to my wife and see what dates in June would possibly work for me. If that doesn't end up working for everybody then I will make it a point to make a special trip.
Thanks for everybody being so willing and flexible! Looking forward to it!

I'm four hours away and would like to meetup but I can't justify an 8 hour round trip solely for the meetup. If I have some business or another reason to be up that way I'd attend.

Maybe if there's another one around the first week of July, I'd like to make it. I'm about 6 hours drive away from STL, but my wife's family lives in the St. Charles area, and we visit from time to time.

Hey everybody! I just wanted to reply and acknowledge I know everybody is still waiting on my slow butt! Things have been hectic and my wife and I just haven't had a moment to sit down and review the calendars – she is changing a job, carrying a 2nd job in the meantime, and my work has been rather hectic.
I WILL GET THIS FIGURED OUT SOON! Thanks for being so patient. I'm really looking forward to getting it figured out and meeting everyone!

This isn't set in stone yet, but I wanted to throw it out there to get all of your thoughts.
What about Saturday, June 30th? Maybe we could do something for like 2-3 hours. I'm really down for whatever but I know I'll have a bunch of family to see when I'm in town as well.
