I am terrible at submitting my stuff to carnivals and I am willing to outsource the job so I don't have to do it.  I am looking for a blogger who knows what they are doing when it comes to carnivals (if you don't know what one is please don't say you'll do it lol) and more importantly is organized to know what posts they have submitted, the requirements for each carnival etc.

I figure it'll be an hour set up to create the spreadsheet, but after that it should only be a couple mins worth of work once a week.

If you don't get any bites here, you can try the Virtual Assistent method. I know some people who have tried VAs with varied success. Check out sites like "Your Man in India" for outsourced menial tasks.

Interesting …

I'm not sure if we should throw our name into the hat as a contributor (buyer) or a service provider! lol

I'm awful at getting submissions to carnivals as well and kick myself 3 out of 4 times a month for forgetting.  But when being paid for a job I tend to remember things!

I know TFB uses a VA or two.  It would be interesting to see his take on what this type of service is worth (to him).

I agree a VA is the best bet for doing those jobs.

hey!

I actually use a VA for the following tasks related to link building:

- carnival submisssion

- social media promotion (twitter, facebook (not much), tip'd and pfbuzz

- roundups (I provide a list of blog to follow and they pick great articles from them)

- comment on other blog

While this is not the most high value work they do, I think it is necessary to keep the number of backlinks growing (especially when you have guys like SPF that comment on 20 blos per day ;-) ).

I also use them to manage my advertising campaign and work on some niche websites. This allow me more time for creation, strategy and chatting with you guys… the 3 things I like the most about my company ;-)

Hey TFB,

How much do you think it would be to pay a VA to do all of the things you listed in your bullet points and nothing else? This might be something worth looking into for myself because I could severely use the backlinks.

I would probably leave out the commenting from it because I'm not very comfortable having somebody else speak as my voice.

Do you get your VA to actually ready the Yakezie forums and other places to find carnivals (because aren't they always changing?).

Sorry for the thread hijack MJTM.

Looks like you can get a VA for a few bucks an hour. Does anyone have experience using a VA? I'd like to look into it, but would love to get someone via a personal recommendation.

I wanna be a Thousandaire so freaking bad!

Rumana Akter on oDesk helped me fill in my All in One SEO Pack info for the last year of posts.  I would suggest her if you also buy some evaluations from Scribe SEO.  I looked closer today and realized she wasn't the absolute best at figuring out keywords.  BUT, my Adsense has more than tripled over the last 3 weeks (1-2 clicks every 3-4 days to 1-3 clicks every day so far), so no real complaints here!  Here's my rundown on SEO:  http://www.crystalclearthought…..imization/

I got great and bad experiences with odesk VA's. Just remember; very often, you get what you paid for ;-)

good experience: more than a few bucks an hour

bad experience; less than $5/hour ;-)

If anybody is still looking, two other bloggers are willing to submit to 5 carnivals a week for $20 a month ($1 per submission).  I went with Jesse Michelsen from PF Firewall and you can ask Evan who he went with (I'm not sure if they'd mind me advertising for them or if this was solely something they wanted to do for Evan and a couple of others…).

I'm also trying out Melissa based on Evan's referral; will let everyone know how it went later on.
