Hey everyone,
I think it's time to spruce up Retire By 40 to make it look a bit more professional.
- I need a more distinctive banner. Does anyone know someone good? I guess I will try fiver and see if that will work out.
- I guess a new logo will be helpful as well. My current "40" badge is pretty boring.
- Theme. I think I'll stick with my theme for now since I don't have a lot of ads yet. If I get more advertisers, I'll re-evaluate. I like the clean 2 columns look.
Any more suggestions are welcome. thx.

I just recently updated my banner and I think that it's made a big difference! Before you start paying out money for someone to design one for you, why don't you take a look at some free banner options? Google "free banner images". There is quite a selection. If you find one that you like, then you can pretty easily add some text to it with a banner-build site. If you can't figure it out, let me know and I'll drum up the sites I used. :)

I used http://www.logosforwebsites.com/
He also has a Yakezie blog (don't recall which one) and Bible Money Matters.
We got a package of an logo, favicon, header, twitter and facebook package for a very resonable rate (at least I thought so). We also get 10 "changes" if so required. Peter worked with me for some time to get the look/feel that we wanted and we are very happy with the end products.

I used Peter as well. Professional, quick, and relatively inexpensive perfect combo

I read about Peter a while back and that's exactly who I'm looking for.
Thanks guys. I'll talk to him soon and figure out something.

I love Fiverr! I have gotten so many great things from them. Even if the first botches it, it is only $5! You can afford to get multiple before you even get close to the cost of other sites.

The things I really liked about Peter ….
1) He values his clients, and his reputation – he is driven to make a great product
2) He takes the time to get it right. And with us, that meant about 40 emails and a number of revisions!
3) The more items you package the better the price! If you note the banner price vs the whole she-bang (what we got) it makes a lot of sense to just get 'er all done (and the consistency is nice)
4) he's super nice and patient.

I do all of my own banners, and I am no graphic designer. Just find a good free image online that is super high resolution. Upload it to Picnik, clean it up, crop it, and add your site name in a super cool font. Presto!

Peter does awesome work with logosforwebsites. I've used him from back when he started and many other PF bloggers have used him too. Great work and great guy. Easily recommend him.
