Hi everyone,
I'm a new blogger, and recently discovered yakezie. This seems like an awesome community, and I'm very glad to have discovered it! I'm currently 27 y/o, and working as an engineer. I recently became interested in finances, investing, and blogging. Yes, it's already been a fun filled year with lots of learning taking place! I've been working for about 5 years, and finally reached the point where I just got tired of the same ol' day-to-day routine. After putting much thought into this, I realized that my desire was to achieve early financial independence so that I could exit the workforce sooner rather than later. I've been capturing the journey on my blog ever since.
So far, I've been joining other finance forums, and meeting other people who share similar interests in either early financial independence, or investing. It's been great and I've already gotten lots of good advice. When I first read about the yakezie challenge, I thought it would be the perfect next step to take. I've been wanting to meet more people interested in such topics, and also learn a thing or two about blogging (I know next to nothing at the moment  ). Hi, welcome to Yakezie! You seem quite enthusiastic, so that should help keep you going. Joining the challenge is a good idea. I'm about half way through time wise (3 months). My Alexa has dropped from around 1.8 million to 380k in this time. I will check out you blog right now!

I've pretty much been sticking to what the Yakezie challenge advocates. I have been making regular posts, usually 2 per week, and if they are relevant, I submit them to blog carnivals. I also try and comment on other peoples' blogs as much as I can, and I have made the occasional guest post here and there. Yakezie challenge says to make 2-4 posts per week, but I like to stick to 2, and make them as good quality posts as I can. If you just stick to the plan, you will be surprised how quickly your Alexa will drop at first. Good luck!

Thank you everyone! I appreciate all the continued, warm welcomes. I tend to agree, and will aim to contribute two quality posts to the blog each week. Any more than that, I think, would dilute the content as it would place a greater time burden on me. Plus it would be difficult for me to keep coming up with so many new topics to write about.
