Here's some progress to report:
My Alexa rating was showing 'No Data' for 2 weeks since I joined. Today, my site is now ranked: 6,243,918
There's still ways to go, but actually seeing this number (no matter how high it is) has me quite excited! Woohoo!!!

Welcome aboard Fi. You'll see that Alexa ranking drop rapidly. When I started about three weeks ago, my ranking was 18M+ and now I'm close to dropping below 1M. This is a great community that you will surely enjoy.

I remember the first day I saw an actual ranking on Alexa. You're right…no matter how high it is, you feel like you've arrived. I told my friends, "I'm in the top six million sites in the world!"
They weren't nearly as impressed by that as I was.
