First impression is great. Very clean theme and professional-looking.

The middle column seems to have too much information. To me, it's begging to be a Featured Post section with a large photo and enough text from the post to encourage a clickthru.

It would be cool if you could find a way to make the left sidebar alternate between Popular Posts and Recent Posts, either automatically or manually. Then you could move the middle column to share the left sidebar.

Sharp looking theme, but in my opinion the homepage is a little overwhelming with so many links.  I don't know how many people will scan those long lists to find what they are looking for.  It just seems like 3 sidebars turned into a homepage.  The internal pages do look great and the overall theme is a good upgrade.  A lot of the time visitors like to be lead to where they should go next though.

I don't want to be a party pooper but I will be honest. It looks nice but for me as a reader there is too much going on. Too much information everywhere. It is structured and organized but in a way that seems a little overwhelming to me.

I guess I'm old fashioned.  I want a big fat featured post right in the middle above the fold.

I also want a big fat glass of bourbon delivered to my desk right now, so take everything I say with a bowl of bar snacks.

I agree – I think you need to reduce it to two sidebars – make the left hand sidebar the size of the left and center.

Sorry, I feel the home page is somewhat overwhelming, much like online newspapers. It is hard to know where to begin reading. JMHO

It looks very professional, but it does feel like a newspaper site. If that is what you were going for, right on. Doesn't feel as personal. Very professional looking design though.

Tushar, its looking more news paper'ish than blogg'ish. Which is better as SE visitors would be impressed at first glance, as I was. good job!

I agree with everyone. It feels to cluttered and busy. My eyes go everywhere at once and wind up seeing nothing in particular. The three sidebar look could work if they were different widths, but right now, everything feels like it has equal importance and readers don't know what they should click.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Agree with most – looks like tons of great info, but a lot going on.  I'd say simpler is better.

Maybe it would help you (and us help you) if you told us a bit more about what you want to accomplish with your theme (i.e. increase pages per visit, show your site has a lot of info on a lot of topics, etc.).  Then maybe we could all make other suggestions on how to accomplish (if that would be helpful to you, of course).

Thanks all. Just the kind of feedback I wanted to hear.

I see that you all feel its too busy.

Do you guys think the internal pages are busy too ?

Currently, I'm using all the options/sections of the theme. Let me try to make it less "newspaperish".

My inspiration for the 3 equal column layout was Moolanomy.com

His is way cleaner than mine. But he doesn't have those advertising obligations that I have.

I'm trying to highlight various seasonal categories, like taxes, for easy access.

Also, as SB said, this might appeal to Search Engine visitors, but might alienate my returning ones.

Let me make some changes and I'll be back.

I tried clicking on a random link, and the page I went to had a more regular blog feel to it. So that was fine.

Also, as SB said, this might appeal to Search Engine visitors, but might alienate my returning ones.

Maybe set up that style for a landing page for search engine visitors, but have another page with a more traditional layout that returning readers would bookmark instead?

Edward, that's a good idea. 2 landing home pages.
Let me see how that can be done.

I agree with what some people are saying, there's almost too much going on with the homepage. However, the theme does definitely look good.

I can't be brutal because you get applause for standing up and asking or sitting down and typing. However, that being said there are no focal points. There need to be size variation and you have to think about the rule of thirds. Right now it's all just a buffet of all you can eat.

I love it. Although I liked your last one, I do think this new design looks more professional and crisp.

Tons better! It looks like it really does hold information on EVERYTHING related to finance.

I think it's fine busy because CNBC is busy and they have tons of information as well.
