Well after switching my domain name around this time last year, I'm finally taking the leap into re-branding completely.

My new site name is much more manageable to say and shorter as well and I think it still clearly conveys my site's intent.

I also designed a new logo that I will be implementing across social profiles, etc.

Take a look and let me know what you think, like or don't like about it. All constructive criticism welcome!

I was wondering when you were going to switch your site's name. Because I know I always appreciated honest feedback, I think the header image looks okay. I'm not an expert, but I would much rather see a blue background than black. It would match the rest of your site and I feel like Black is really STRONG.

Also, is there anyway to put the "learn to save, invest…" on the same line as the social icons? This would move everything up or allow you to showcase that fancy diamond fully. Just some ideas. I definitely like the new color scheme and layout a lot better than the old one.

"I was wondering when you were going to switch your site's name. " It was a long time coming right? lol

I like the idea of blue also, I think the black is very strong but it offsets the diamond really well…

I'm considering removing the sub-head altogether. I think the navigation items explain the site well enough but I'm still thinking it through.

I really appreciate your feedback!!

Liked it better than the previous one. Do you really need the second layer for blog byline? you may check once without it.

Latisha-

The blog is looking great. As for the header, it looks a little blurry on my end. Is there any way you can sharpen the image a bit? Maybe choose a smaller font and expose the entire diamond? Just some ideas…

Also, how did you get to 1400 FB friends? Any tips you could provide me?

Thanks,

The site looks nice and I think the new name will work much better for you too.  I'm not very good at blog design so I don't have any suggestions for improvements.

I like it overall. I might do something different to clean up the top/header a bit, but it is a great direction overall.

I like the site, but not the header graphic.  It just seems amateurish to me like it was done on microsoft paint.  Confused about the sponsor sidebar – why not 2 125x125 boxes on the same line?

Ok, I increased the dpi which should clear up any blurriness. I took down the subhead but I'm still liking the 3-d look of it so if I change it I would have to keep that.

As far as Facebook, I've been doing some local promotions as well as paid, Facebook ads, etc. The first thing I would suggest is a switch to a page versus a 'friend' page. You should get more likes because if someone has to friend you, they are automatically giving you access to more information than they are if they just like your page. Plus you can do Facebook ads and target new likes. You'll have more reach.

Suggestions are great guys, thanks!

I am not a fan of the header. I am not saying that because I do logo work. I am saying that because it looks to hustler like for me. And this is coming from a guy who loved a good hustle back in the days. The layout looks cool.
