Hey folks,

Yahoo Finance TV is looking to come to your town and film a segment about you — if you fit their profile. They're looking for people/families who have saved thousands of dollars through things like tracking their finances, downsizing, etc. They're focused on the NY tri-state area but they'll fly out to other locations with all their production equipment if you've got an exceptional story to tell. Could be a good chance for bloggers to promote their site, but it's more likely something for readers.

If only I wasn't an anonymous blogger! :) I saved a quarter of our income last year (and am doing it this year) while living on a very low income. That's the whole point of my blog!

We're mostly anonymous too. We saved 24% importing our Subaru Outback from the US and after or energy retrofit we have already seen some good savings from reduce heat loss this past winter (compared to the previous owners gas bills).

I'd be in if they are willing to come to Texas.  :-)

We save thousands every year by staying in a "smaller" home (here our $114,000 1750 sq.ft. home is considered small for our income level of $80,000 plus every year) and by following our zero-based budget.

I am more than willing to give up my partial anonymity to get this sort of boost!

This is a great theme for the story!

We didn't do anything special, just save everyday. I haven't achieve my goal of retiring by 40 either so no success story yet for us.
