Are you sure she gave up? What if she got hacked and the intruder deleted all her files?
did she confirm it was all her doing? Until we get her confirmation, she is just MIA for now.

I believe Crystal spoke to her, so it isn't a hacking situation.
I am shocked too. I had talked a lot to Aloysa and she seemed to really enjoy blogging. I have no idea if something came up in her personal life, but to just up and walk away when she was part of a community like Yakezie is so surprising.
Maybe she sold her site? It did seem to be taken over awfully quickly.

For a moment the conspiracy part of me was like, and her last article was about working for a mafia owned business back in Lithuania. But it seems thankfully that it is nothing serious, except for the fact that we may be losing a really good blogger and a very active member of our community. She was one of my favorites of our site to read and I thought she had a lot of talent as a writer. Maybe she will write a novel or a memoir instead.

Well, it was a gmail account 'aloysasblog@gmail.com', which I assume would be a private email account. If that is so, I would guess she just deleted it to cut ties with the bloggin world? In other words, I don't think the sale of her blog would affect that email address. I just find it odd that a name so unique is already populated.
I had the same thought about the mob post and conspiracies at first too!

I texted back and forth with her. She has confirmed it and apologized to everyone for not saying something. Now she feels too silly to talk to everyone. I don't get it, but she has definitely shut down her site for good.
I asked if she sold it and she said "I wish I could have sold it! No, I just closed it down. Sorry, I should have said something."

I liked her blog, and thought she had some interesting topics. Bummer, that's too bad for us who liked her blog but also for her in the sense that she seemed to be succeeding with it.
Its not a total shock, as I recall from an early post on her blog that alluded to her feeling bad about just up and quitting one or two previous blogs she started, and felt bad for the readers. Plus I thought she had like a 10-day gap in January with no posts.
Anyway, too bad she quit, she had a nice blog that I thought well of.

Squirrelers, she told me about her previous blogging stints also, and that this was like her 3rd blog or something. I wonder if we will ever be informed if she decides to write a fourth blog someday?
Poor Aloysa. I hope everything is ok. Being overwhelmed is awful. I just don't know why she just completely throws in the towel instead of taking a break. People do that all the time when they have babies and such. She could have easily gotten a bunch of guest posts from all of us if she needed to.

Yeah, I'm sure she could have gotten enough guest posts to hold the site until she had more time to think about it. Who knows…maybe she'll read this thread and see how much we want her to come back, and do it!

Very sad news. Aloysa was not only one of my favourite bloggers, her support of our fledgeling blog was fantastic both in terms of support and comments. We will miss her greatly. I think I will still post an article that I planned to guest post on her site, in her honour: XX Ways to Save Water and Money in Your Kitchen Sink.
