I can't be the only one seeing this, but if you scroll down to the site, there is a lot of junk in there pointing to a weird site. (don't click on the link).
I wrote to KC via the contact page, no response. Thought I'll try this avenue as well. http://www.krantcents.com/

I think he has listed in like 100 blog directories or something. Each directories require you to add their banner (essentially a text link) to get listed. So most of them are blog directory listing. The one showing funny characters (at least for me) seems to be the bad css from one of the links. I will email Krant now. It might be better for him to get visitors the slow/hard way than these directories.
