It looks like Google did it again. They took down the "link to this photo" in Picasa. How do I share pictures now?
All my pictures are still working, but this is making me nervous.
Do you upload pictures to your site or host them somewhere else? What site is good for picture hosting?
thx

You should still be able to grab the image URL and link to it. If you are worried, you could try Flickr too. Google is doing a lot of changes to everything (Picasa/Google Photos included) for the Google+ integration.

I upload all of my pictures to my site, but I never thought about just linking to them as well. I always upload small versions so as not to slow down my website or take up too much space.

I'm on Blogger so I do 99% of my pictures as links, since you don't really have access to your photo library once you upload something. I link back primarily to Flickr commercial commons pictures.

I upload mine to my site. It is great for reference and reuse later.

I primarily use creative commons images from Flickr and link to them versus download them. I figure it will help with speed.
If it's my own picture, I upload it after optimizing the size.
