Hi Everyone,
After a few years of on and off podcasting, I just posted my 50th episode. Take a listen if you are interested.
Buck Inspire 50th Podcast
Sadly, I feel the podcast is not growing like it should. I listened to the Cliff Ravenscraft's (Podcast Answerman) presentation from NMX 2013 and wanted to implement two pieces of advice to grow a podcast.
The first which I just did this morning was submit my podcast to Stitcher and Blackberry. I already had it on iTunes, but neglected finding other podcast directories.
Second, every time someone asks Cliff this question, "I've been podcasting for X years and I only have Y listeners, how do I grow my podcast more?", he follows up with "Find 20 subscribers and tell me one thing about them besides their name and email address." Oddly enough, no one has every followed up with an answer. I want to be the first one who does.
If you are interested and are already a subscriber, please reply to the forum post with one tidbit you'll like to share. If you are not comfortable leaving it on the forum, you can also email at buck@buckinspire.com.
If you are interested and are not a subscriber, please subscribe and leave the above information.
Click here to visit the iTunes page to subscribe.
Finally, feel free to also leave a product, service, or a post you are extremely proud of. I'll compile this information and mention each person and their tidbits on the show and show notes.
Hope everyone sees this as a win-win. Free plugs for you (no such thing as bad publicity right?) and I get to step up to Cliff's challenge and hopefully unlock what to do next to grow my podcast. If you have a podcast or are interested in podcasting, I'll gladly share his next tip as well.
Thank you!
Buck
