I think this is a good place to discuss it. Why? Because I think it is not only one site.
My computer completely froze and installed a warm when I visited Afford Anything about ten days ago. Now I have Spyware Doctor and it has blocked the Financial Samurai and My University Money. The message I get is that it is something that goes via Alexa but don't undertand the intricacies of it.
I am clean but not being able to get on some of my fav sites is a pain.
Spyware doctor is a good software but some of those programs like to block things as innocent as tracking cookies, so if you're getting something from Alexa, it's likely that it could just be a tracking cookie from the alexa widget. (I say that without looking to see if they have the alexa widget or not.)
Also,
there is a redirect backdoor virus going around today. It modifies the .htaccess file to redirect most common external referrers (facebook, google, etc) to some russian site. Might not be a bad idea to do a google search on your own sites today and make sure that you weren't hit.
I'm currently working on it. According to google webmaster and a few online scans, its clean. Thanks for everyone who brought this to our attention though. We use cloudflare so its strange that they missed it as well. I did a fresh install of wordpress and I'll be downloading all of the files from my host tomorrow to scan them with my personal antivirus software. Hopefully that will help.
@ Beating Broke -We do have an alexa ranking widget in our footer, I'll check out that htaccess file as well :)

I had Alexa toolbar installed @ work and corporate security detected it as a data mining threat and made me remove it.
Afford-Anything has a huge nasty virus on it. I visited last Thursday and it set off alarms on my PC. Unfortunately it also managed to launch on my machine and it took us 2 hours to completely clean it up.
Ive received two messages that my new site Budget Snob has a virus on it… not sure how to clean it when I dont have anything detecting a virus on it from my end.

How do you clean something you cant find???
When I visit the budget snob site, Avast is telling me that it's blocking something on the site. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell me where it's coming from on the site, but it does tell me what the URL it's blocking is:
Well that's good to know. Try going to your updates and re-installing the new version of wordpress. Tom @ The Canadian Finance Blog suggested it and so far it seems to have helped. Can anyone else confirm that we're clean?
I use Norton. Would it pick up a virus on any of those sites? Or should I download Avast?
I don't know for sure if Norton would pick it up or not. Avast picks it up because it's an internet security suite, designed to actively scan for the stuff. As far as free AV solutions go, Avast is the best I've ever used.
