I published a sponsored article a few months ago, and everything was fine.
However, I just received an email from the ad rep asking me what happened to the article. The only thing that shows up now is the picture. Here is the link: http://fatguyskinnywallet.com/…..rgy-costs/
However, when I go into the post to edit it, all of the text, link, tags, etc are there. It looks like any normal article. I tried making a tiny change and then updating it, but it still shows up as only a picture.
When I view it from the website while logged in, the WP toolbar across the top has a button for "edit media", but not "edit post" as it normally does.
Any suggestions?

I would paste all the text into a Word doc or something, delete the post, then add a new post backdated to the time of the original. Sometimes WP does weird things and I've had some luck doing that with similar post issues.

KNS, it is for sure one of the 2 following issues:
1. You have a plugin conflict. Have you added any new plugins since publishing??
2. More than likely its an html problem. Have you added any extra code in by hand (especially unclosed DIV tags)? Did you put in any javascript or a Google or Facebook button – if so remove it? Did you add a WordPress caption to the picture and then modify it – if so remove it?
To fix it:
Take your page text as you see it in the wordpress editor, and then dump it into a plain text editor such as notepad. Save it!! Then in the wordpress post, select html, highlight and delete everything. Then switch the wordpress editor back to page view. Then repaste the notepad text back in.
You will lose all your formatting, and any pictures, but you may be able to save your post. You probably just modified the html of the post…
If that doesn't work, then email me the notepad html and I will take a look.
Cheers!

I tried deleting the post, erasing the html, and then pasting the text back and updating the article, and it didn't work.
I'll email you the html in notepad. Thanks for looking at it!

Did you figure this out yet Khaleef? It sounds like you might have used a special character that is not compatible with your charset. This is why I write posts in notepad and then paste that into wordpress. That way there are no special characters created by microsoft word. Simple things like a – ' " all get converted into special characters. You could also try a paragraph by paragraph test to see if you can get some paragraphs to post. That way you might be able to narrow down the problem. The Dividend Ninja sounds like he would know how to fix it too.

I'm still having the same problems. Ninja provided some great advice which I will be sure to follow in the future, and even looked at the file for me, but we weren't able to fix the problem.
I usually write articles in notepad as well, but not all of the time – it's either notepad or the WP dashboard.
I just found 2 articles from my main site which have disappeared as well: http://knsfinancial.com/subsid…..ord-loans/ & http://knsfinancial.com/contin…..workforce/
This is really frustrating (especially since they both were on the front page of Google for their keywords). Since I know nothing about code, I am at the mercy of WP!

You can send the post to me and I can try to find the problem. I can try to preview on my blog to see if it's a problem with the post content or whether it is a plugin compatibility issue. I think I've had something like this happen before and it was just a matter of testing each paragraph and then each sentence in the problem paragraph.
