Does anyone have experience with press releases? I am submitted a few of my posts to a free site – PRLog – doesn't seem to be working very well. Thought I might be using the wrong company. Submitting SEO optimized headlines and text.

It takes something special to get any real coverage.

Press Release submission sites have been so overwhelmed by SEOs that I don't think any real media even bothers to read through them any more.  If you're looking for actual coverage of your website, submit only VERY newsworthy material, and do so with a paid service.  I've heard of very good results with PRWeb's paid policy.

i use PRs to build quality back-links. works effectively in this sense, but if you are trying to attract media coverage, i've heard that it takes quite a bit to accomplish this
