Hi All,
Do you have private advertisement on your site? Did the client provide you with the banner or did you build it/buy it for them?
Who would you recommend for building a 300x250 ad banner for a client? How much does it cost on average?
Anyone has experience with this?
Thanks,
Mich

Everyone that I have interacted with has either provided the banner for me or simply sent an image file to use. You might be able to find an image on their site to just place on your site.

All my advertisers have provided their banners to me. Several have even customized their banner/widget so that it matched nicely with my site.

Thanks for the feedback Jacob.
So in your case it was a plain static image or an animated GIF? I'm guessing they didn't care for a FLASH based animated banner.
Thanks for the reply Dana ,
I have a *potential* client, but I am guessing it's his first advertisement as well since he is asking me how it all works with banners and all!

Yep! Just a plain static image. Usually 125x125 size works well.

If they really want something professional and new, my wife is actually a graphic design genius! She often does freelance work for a few colleges in the area. But yes, Jacob is right, any old picture will do.

All of my advertisers supply their own banners. I actually make it a condition that they have the sizes ready for me. Otherwise I would have to price my time creating the banner etc into the cost of the advertisement.

Derek, how much would your wife charge for a 300x250 banner ad? (FLASH? animated gif?)
Todd and Jacob, How much would you charge someone per month per banner ad 300x250?

I just spoke with my wife and she would be willing to start from scratch and design a static banner ad (300x250) for $100. She does not know Flash or Animation, just purely graphic design. She is great at communicating any idea into a graphic though.

Clients typically provide their own banners for your site. Did you have an advertiser ask you to make your own?
