How do I manage my feed that people that subscribe to? I use feed burner and I would like to be able to have more options with managing it. I want to be able to set up a nice looking signature at the bottom, maybe a personal message as well that I can change up every now and again. It doesn't send until the day AFTER my post goes live (I would rather do this the same day), and it only shows a "teaser" of the post, which I guess is good, but I would rather it have the entire post.
Thanks a bunch for all of your help.

You can do that all with Wordpress plugins. Try RSS footer for the signature. It should already go live the same day as your post, check through your feed ping/notification settings and your Feedburner settings. For the teaser/full feed, that is also a WP option.

Thanks. I use Thesis from DIY and I like everything to be a teaser on the page (other than the post you are trying to read of course lol), but I don't know anything about coding or where to look to make it a non teaser. As for the plugin, I will try that out and thanks a bunch.

For full feed/excerpt, go to Settings -> Reading -> For each article in a feed, show
Select Full Text and then save changes

To get your posts to publish sooner via RSS, download the Feedburner Feedsmith plugin. All you have to do is go to Settings > Feedburner Feedsmith Extend and put in your Feedburner URL, and your posts will show up within an hour or so of the post going live.

Thanks for all the help guys, but I am still receiving the feed a day after it goes live. Any more suggestions? The good news is that the feed is now full page, so that makes it nicer, however…still late.
Thanks

Do you have Feedburner discovering your feed or do you have a theme/plugin that is pinging Feedburner?

Honestly, I have no clue how to answer your question lol. My subscription box is a feedburner feed however I am not sure if that is what you are asking.

What are you using to view your feed? Email or RSS? If RSS, what reader?

I would try it on reader first. It would not surprise me if email subscriptions are delayed. I dumped the Feedburner email subscription service for MailChimp.

Sometimes the feed is delayed a day when your post goes live after the time of the RSS feed email is sent. Check what time you are publishing your posts and compare that to the time range that the email is sent (in your feedburner settings).

Thanks Eric,
I am looking into using mailchimp as it looks AWESOME! When I signed up for my feedburner, it was recommended to use mailchimp but to start with feedburner, now I know why lol. Great free service from what I can tell. I have to wait to set it up completely because I do not want my home address to be on the emails, this is the only thing holding me up. I wish there was an alternative to that without having to get a p.o. box.
Corey,
Thanks for that, however, there is still a 24 hour lag to that. My posts are scheduled to post at 8am EST and I don't get the email until the next day (after it goes live).
I am still looking into it, however, with some of the other blogs that I have an email subscription to, everyone who uses feedburner (just 2 blogs) have the same problem, sometimes 2 days later. At least mine isn't that far behind I guess. I just wish I could make it happen daily in the morning though.
