Sexy bookmarks is a great plugin that allows people to easily share your posts. However, I can't find a way to figure out who exactly is sharing my posts. Is there a way to figure this out, so that I can return the favor?

Twitter – you will know if you set it up to add "RT @yourname" to the tweet
Facebook – you will know the folks you liked IF they are your friends, other wise it is "17 others liked it"
Tip'd – you will know if you click on the tipped count button
Others I have no idea.

It is like Suba says. You have to go to each individual sharing website and search for your blog to see who submitted/upvoted your post.
I tend to look through my analytics for referring sites and go straight to the page that is driving traffic.

Does anyone else get annoyed by the fact that the plugin has a new version every three days? Sorry for hijacking, just had to vent! lol

I don't think I noticed these settings before. I will definitely have to look at what I have them set as. Thanks for the tip.

I would like to get annoyed with it, but every time that I try to install the plugin it breaks my whole site. It is one of the best looking sharing plugins out-there, but unfortunately I can't use it.

Yes, I definitely get annoyed by that! Especially since you have to reactivate it after each update!
Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to track the clicks – except for what Suba mentioned.

I think with the sexy plugin, it has sooo many options for socialization that ever time one of the social sites change, the sexy plugin needs to change too. Must be a huge pain for them.
I only use a small subset of the options, I should really get a plugin that just offers what I primarily use…

As for who exactly, it's hard to know. To see if it was a FB page, you can go to Google and use the operator site:facebook.com "yourblog.com"
There's a plug-in I like to use called Social Metrics. The free version will allow you to see quickly the number of shares on each article.

I had the plugin running for a while on my site and then it broke my site so I had to remove it. I haven't gotten around to re-installing it or trying something else. I think I may have had something wrong with the settings though.

I hear ya! Then I always have to go to the plugin page to reset my preferences or that red bar will never disappear from the top of the page. Ugh!
