Hi everyone,
I have owned my site for over 4 years now and it seems like I am always up against a glass ceiling when it comes to monthly visitors. Sometimes I wonder if it has to do with the speed (or lack thereof) of my site. Have any of you purchased a dedicated server through your webhost and seen your visitor numbers jump because of the quick refresh speed of your site? And of course, because your new server could actually support the increase?

Hi Derek,
I went with a dedicated server 3 years ago and I THINK it's been a worthwhile endeavor due to site speed and uptime. But what I think is even more valuable is having a person lookout for your site and manage it's up time when you can't.
We're talking like $120-$200/month vs sub $50/month in cost though. You can get good package deals if you pay a year in advance.

I think it's about time that I look into this. My site is currently one of the slowest out there, and I think a dedicated server would really help, which would then help me attract and retain more readers.

I think dedicated server is very much better than any other type of hosting in case of security, uptime and speed.
You can take the dedicated server hosting services from Rackbank Datacenters which provide servers with good configuration, affordable price and top class technical support.
