I've gotten a few pingbacks in the last few days from the site http://finance.goblogle.com/. When I clicked through, they were each posts from other sites that had previously linked back to me. Without knowing anything about this site, it seems pretty sketchy to me, like they're stealing people's content.

Not sure how to proceed from here, just wanted to make people aware.

I've gotten some ping backs from this site too and want to know if I should be concerned. The site has taken an entire post of mine and at the end has a sentence saying that the post originally was published by 'MoneySmartGuides' with a link to post on my site.

Is this OK or should I do something about this?

Matt brought this to my attention as one of my posts was lifted in whole as well. This is the third or fourth site that I know that has done this to me in the past few months. I'll be looking them up through a Who is search to see if there is someone to contact to have the site taken down.

Two more pingbacks from the URLs below. What are the steps to handle something like this?

I had a total of 3 posts lifted by them as well. Just file a DMCA takedown through HostGator and hopefully that'll take care of it.

Same here. It looks like they've scraped a lot of finance blogs. Filing a complaint as well – that's pretty much the only thing you can do, to my knowledge.

To my knowledge it is Anton – though HG acted pretty quickly in removing my posts.

I also got about 5 pingbacks from them as well and it looks like I was included in their "carnivals." But when I looked through their content (June was their first month according to their archives) it looked like it had ripped off a few blogs like One Cent at a Time – I recognized the image used in a post – and renamed the article. I guess I'll file a complaint as well.

Report the site to Google and file a DMCA with their hosting company
