It's been three weeks and I've made it down to 867,617 mostly through guest blogging and search engine traffic. I'm feeling the momentum to get to 200K!

I have a general question for people: I'm currently trying to do 2 posts a week on my own blog and one blog post on each of the four guest blogs I have arrangements with. This is roughly a post a day and although I really love creating quality content, it's beginning to get really difficult to keep this up because of time and energy. Do any of you have some suggestions on how I can leverage my time better and still deliver quality content and receive quality traffic? Any brainstorming attempts appreciated!

Hi Kristoph,

Creating 6 quality articles every week is very difficult.  Seasoned bloggers take years before they can pump out that much quality – and often these folks outsource some work or work on their sites as their primary job.

Do you comment on fellow Yakezie members/challengers sites much?  I found that to be a great way to get people to come check out our site.  A quality comment or 10 takes me less time than does an article that takes 3-4 hrs to produce.

Submitting your articles to carnivals gets traffic too (hit and miss but it helps us we think!).

The one question you will ultimately need to ask is whether the GP arrangements you have are worth having.  Do you really gain enough traffic / exposure by posting on those sites weekly to make the effort worth it.  From what I understand, GPs with blogging pals here and there is good to do, but your goal should be getting your posts on bigger sites where there is a lot of traffic that could funnel your way.

Lastly, i'd suggest participating in the Yakezie swaps.  Great way to get traffic and drive the alexa rank down.

Guest posting on 4 blogs might be a little too much concentrated effort. I would think that guest posting once per week would be plenty! You can then use the extra time to comment on other sites and do other activities to build your site.

Thanks, Sustainable PF- that's a great piece of advice. What are the swaps you're talking about? I haven't heard of it (or maybe I have but by a different name). Thanks!
