I discovered a pretty cool plugin for Wordpress that displays a popup window for visitors that provides information about SOPA and the option to contact their Legislator or spread the word if they woud like.
The part I like is that visitors can continue to your website by clicking on the window so it's unobtrusive.
Click on this link to go to the Wordpress website if you are interested. Not an affiliate link.

I think I want to be obtrusive and piss people off for a matter like this. It's a good way of getting their attention.
However, I think it's great to have this option as well. Thanks for sharing. :)

Let me clarify that as that was a bad choice of words. The visitor can simply close the window and proceed to your site without seeing the popup again.
The popup window looks like this:

I decided to write a post about SOPA/PIPA tomorrow that will be on the top of my homepage.

Thanks for this…I installed it and it's ready to go for tomorrow. The harder part is going to be not going on Twitter for a whole day…but if it makes a difference then I'll do it!

I rather opted for blocking the banner and showing a message, more like what Google did.
