I am starting a new series on my blog called "Ask the Banker" and I need some questions to answer to get it off the ground. All the details are here:
http://www.backninefinance.com…..he-banker/
Thanks in advance….
By the way, does anyone else do a similar "reader questions" series? I know some of the larger blogs do this, but haven't seen it on a more "normal" blog.

I am trying really hard to think of a question for you but am having now luck… writer's block? As for the other question… As for the questions, TheFrugalGirl.com does reader questions on Mondays… though her audience is going to be different from yours.

I would think about what you readers might like to know that they don't know already. Information about IRA's and tax questions are usually popular.
Also most people find it hard to understand the difference between annual and effective interest rate.

Here's a question – What does it really cost the bank to process an ATM withdrawal from a non-customer? I'd love to know how much of that $2-$5 fee is just for profit. :-)

I don't get enough questions for a series, so I usually write a unique post for each question as they come. The best content ideas come from the readers.

Cool Idea. We do a lot of interviews and a lot of the time we relate the questions to the individual. The questions should be entertaining for your audience.
Give 3 'easy' questions to your interviewer so he/she doesn't feel bombarded by tough questions. Ask 2 questions that are really tough.
Some examples of questions i'd ask.
1. What is the difference between a chequeing and savings account?
2. Why should i put my money into a GIC (Canadians)/ CD (Americans) rates?
3. Why do banks charge stuipid/constant monthly fees for worthless crap? (Might need to reword that lol)
4. How important is the customer service experience for banks?
5. Why do banks suck at Social Media? (we wrote an article on this and it went very well)
6. What is the bank of hte future looking like?
7. What is the difference between online banks and traditional brick and mortor banks?

Thanks for the feedback. I got several questions from my regular readers, so I'll at least have enough questions for the first "Ask the Banker" post…check it out this Thursday (24th).
@ Crystal – thanks for the question. I am in the lending side of the business, but thats a good question. I bet I can find out.
@ Narrow Bridge – I'm wondering if I should do them one at a time also. I got 3 questions when I introduced the series on my blog, so I am going to dive in and answer all 3 this coming Thursday – here's to hoping to I get more to answer the following week.
@ Bank Guru – Any more questions biased against banks?
