First a huge thank you to the many guest posts I have received for this "transitional" month. It is truly inspiring and I cannot express how much I appreciate the help you are giving me.

I am in the midst of a challenging cross country move. Stage one is complete as we have sold our home and left. We are now living with my folks for an indefinite period of time until our loan in our new location goes through.

Due to the insane mortgage crisis in 2008-09, the qualification process is uber stressful, even though we have invested in over 8 properties previously, have no debt, and pristine credit. Oh, and did I mention that we are puchasing a condo "short sale" with it's own crazy challenges.

My folks have no internet, so I greedily do what I can on line when  we sneak out to a Barnes and Noble.

AGain, I really appreciate all of your comments, visits, and guest posts as during this month, I am not able to reciprocate in the way that I like.

I am certain (I hope :) ) that by mid-August we should be in our new home!! If not I will probably have gone insane :)

I look forward to having a more settled life with internet access in order to visit you all. I'll be in touch!!!

I did miss your insightful comments at my blog, but no worries Barb, get settled down first, that's more important.  Thanks for keeping us updated.

Can we expect a nice, long   post on your cross country move experience, Barb? Smile

Hang in there Barb!  Buying a short sale even with GREAT credit can be an adventure!  We just went through 6 months of short sale shadiness.  Our persistence paid off.

Thank you all for your support. Yes, NO INTERNET. I am gathering so much material for when I have more regular internet access. Now the lenders are suggesting the loan might not come through for  3 months. I'll keep you guys posted. We certainly will have to be in our new locale sooner than that!!!

Lots of problem solving. I can't wait to have more time to come back and visit all of your sites. I am suffering more than withdrawals here!!!!

Well, back to conferring (convincing) the mortgage broker that we will pay our bills :)

You could always get an Ipad with 3G… :)

Good luck with everything.  I know loans for short sales can take forever (at least that is what I have learned on HGTV).  Enjoy the time off and the time you get with your parents.

Good luck!!!

Kris

Barb, I have missed seeing your posts here but I can see where a move might be stressful and is certainly time consuming.  I wish I could have gotten you a guest post but I am afraid a family crisis has taken over my life at this time.  I hope you'll post lots of updates for us when you get the chance!

Yes Yes- the condo is amazing and the price is great….. Eventually, it will work out and this period will just be a distant memory :)

How did we all survive without this thing called the Internet?  Haha.

Hang in there Barbarino!  Sorry don't know where that came from.  Look forward to your move and short sale posts.  Do enjoy time away from your blog to recharge!
