I've been talking about it for months and it's finally getting ready to launch – The Debt Movement

First, what is the Debt Movement? 

The debt movement is a 90-day period where we, the personal financial blogging community, in partnership with ReadyForZero, are helping people pay off $10 million of debt in 90 days.  The official movement launches January 2nd but the first month will consist of education via blog posts, Google hangouts, Tweet chats, etc., and enough time for people to enroll and also apply for up to $10,000 worth of Debt Scholarships that we’re giving away.

We're still looking for sponsors, so hit me up if interested.

February 1st begins the actual 90-day payoff period and people will be able to track the progress of the movement on the Debt Movement website. 

What I’m hoping from You

On January 2nd the movement is launching, we’re trying to get as many bloggers to write about the Debt Movement to help bring awareness to what is going on.  We will be featuring all participants with links on the Debt Movement site, Good Financial Cents, and also ReadyForZero.

A Few Extras

Not a requirement, but ReadyForZero has created a pretty nifty widget that you could install in your blog post.  You can get it here: http://debtmovement.com/get-the-widget/.

Welcome, Jake!   Glad to have you on board for another movement. 

I just added the widget to my sidebar. I'm excited about this initiative and our collective influence to help people pay down debt. It fits perfectly with Happy Simple Living's annual January Money diet, which launches next Tuesday. I'll definitely highlight the Debt Movement in a post during the first week of January!

I'll write about it too, on the 2nd.  It goes perfectly with my financial goals.

Sweet!  I'm glad the widget is working.  We were having some bugs but finally got them worked out.

Just saw the widget – got that up just now!  :)

ETA: Have the post ready to go, too.  Figured I'd get a jump start this time. I was a bit late finding out about and joining the life insurance movement. 

Just scheduled my post to go live on the 2nd, amazing project!
