Having just re-styled Objective Wealth and proudly showed it to my wife, the first thing she said was: "You should've taken some screenshots of the old style to keep as a souvenir." Grrr, typical!

Then I remembered a while ago playing around with 'The Wayback Machine' http://archive.org/web/web.php to see how some of the great personal finance blogs started from humble beginnings. Just check out Get Rich Slowly from 2006 – easy to forget that every journey begins with a single step!

It's fascinating and reassuring to know that as our websites evolve over time they'll all be snapshot for eternity on the web.

If you've had your site for a while now and made a lot of changes it might be quite a nostalgia trip going back in time…
