After reading another thread about Tip'd, I thought I would ask more about it.
I saw several Yakezie members were in the Top100 on Tip'd. Does it drive much traffic to your site? Do you find it to be as value added as Facebook or Twitter?

I find that I get the most value from Facebook and then from Twitter. I actually don't do much of anything with Tip'd, but I would be interested if others have had success. It might change my time priorities!

I use Tip'd off and on but haven't really seen much value from it.

Tip'd can be another source of traffic and links.
How it works– A post is submitted by you or someone else. The post is then added to the list and people can vote on it. Once a post receives a certain amount of votes (the number changes, usually 8-ish votes on the weekend and 14-20ish during the week) the post gets "published". A published post gets tweeted by Tip'd and put on the front page. Every article that I've had published has brought in 20 to 50 new visitors a day for about 3 days.
Here's the trick. If you are going to use Tip'd, have some fellow bloggers to partner with. Once you submit an article, send out a direct message on twitter with the link, then your "friends" will tip the article and you'll get published. Yes, this is gaming the system but it works great.
Just remember to use a direct message with a link. It will make it easy for your friends to tip you. REMEMBER – if you ask for a tip, you'd better return the favorite.

No, traffic is minimal. To be honest, I only submit to Tipd for backlink purposes. It's part of my 20 website bookmarking regimen i do for each posts. Tipd is a respectable finance aggregate so you should definitely submit to them as much as you can :)

I use Tip'd mainly because of the do follow link once you get published. I get about 10 to 20 visits for a day or two after being published.

I want to use this more especially for the fact that they seem to be a go-to site for anyone looking for finance articles. I will try to Tip posts more often. I wonder if they let you auto post your feed.

Tipd can be decent traffic if you get published. The only problem is that it's becoming very challenging to get published.

Tip'd can be some decent traffic once you get published (front page).
Feel free to DM me on twitter if you ever want me to check out an article there.

@ Jeff K – that sounds like a great strategy. I have heard of similar groups doing the same thing with Digg, Reddit, and Stumbleupon. The key is to get a critical mass of votes to get your article beyond the tipping point.
@ Jon – That is some serious promotion – how do you do the 20 bookmarks? Is it manual or automated?

I Tip'd for others but have rarely done it myself. I should get my own posts up on there more often.
