Good evening folks! As a big cycling fanatic, this is something that I've been wanting to do for quite some time now, but I finally was able to make the announcement tonight.
Each July from 2011 onward, I'll be running/hosting the Tour de Personal Finance (sort of a Tour de France for PF blogging competition). You can view all of the details and guidelines at the announcement below.

Briefly, the way it will work is as follows:
- Bloggers submit their best posts from the last year. Posts are paired off in to groups of two randomly.
- Each day (coinciding with the occurrence of the Tour de France), the two posts compete against each other to determine which post readers vote as the top one. The winner of each stage will move on to the next round, until the final winner (Yellow Jersey) is crowned!
I could really use you all's help getting this initiative off the ground by submitting your best posts from the past year by July 1st. Just email the info below to Jacob@mypersonalfinancejourney.com
- Name and URL of blog.
- URL and title of your best article from last 12 months.
- A concise 2-5 sentence description of the post (this will be posted on each stage's announcement, so really SELL why your post is awesome and should win!).
- The month and year in which you started blogging (will be used to determine White Jersey winner).

I just went with the one that got the most comments (other than my giveaway)…I used the "Most Popular" widget and changed the criteria to temporarily display the top 10 posts of 365 days and scanned down the list.

The winners of each stage will be entirely chosen by the readers that stop by the contest. So, the criteria is not set! haha
I would just go with what you think is your most "popular" post from the past year!
