I was looking for a particular stat for my blog this morning and stumbled upon something I can't believe that I hadn't caught earlier this month.

December I hit an all-time high for traffic on Edward Antrobus. That may not seem too impressive, since we all expect our traffic to be going up over time. But back in January 2012, I had a mention on The Consumerist that resulted in a huge, temporary spike in traffic. That week is still 3X higher than any other week I've ever had. Heck it was 81X higher than the week before it.

But slow and steady wins the race, and December exceeded the monthly pageviews that I had from the previous January.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Great job! Sometime those temporary spikes can be such a distraction. :)

Nice work! Do you know if anything in particular caused the difference? Or was it just your site getting more "aged"?

Well it certainly wasn't domain aging, since I switched domains to a .com mid November. But aside from that, it's probable that most of it is organic growth over time. If I can point to any one thing, it would be when I hosted the Yakezie carnival. Looking at my graph, I can definately see when that happened, but after that temporary spike subsided, traffic started trending upward at a faster rate than it did earlier in the year.

That is awesome! I usually check keywords too, one of your posts may have ranked very well. I did a post on how Obama manages his time and on election day last November had a huge spike.
