RSS counters are usually shared by many and often times there is a twitter counter. (I keep meaning to add mine …)

In any case, I was comparing my RSS with some other blogs (just to compare since we have been blogging about the same time) and I noticed that in some cases I was in line but then I found out that on the twitter side I was way off.

So I was curious if for many, Twitter was bigger and if Twitter was more important?

Does Twitter generate more traffic than RSS? Since you can read posts in an RSS, I figure that you don't have to even go to the site whereas Twitter sends you to the site.

Which generates more traffic? RSS or Twitter?

Rss is RSS.  If someone subscribes then they may see your article.  Twitter is more about engagement.  Just because someone follows doesn't mean they see yr stuff.  You have to be more active and RT and interact with others.

I get about 3 hits a day from my Twitter feed, but only about 1 per day from RSS (usually Google Reader).
