Heh heh, sorry guys. If it's any consolation, we are not doing anything for valentine. It's all about the baby now. :)

Yeah, I got over Valentine's Day a long time ago. True, I am not single, but we are just planning on working tonight. :)

heh, a rant about valentines day from someone single…how typical! Just kidding. We exchanged some cards and are planning on having a relaxing evening tonight – nothing too fancy (or expensive)

I'm married and I refuse to celebrate Valentine's Day. In fact, I've refused to celebrate today for the last 12 years and I've been with my husband that entire time. Like Melissa, we're celebrating by both of us working.
I did write a post about why I don't celebrate today and since it's Tuesday, I used a song to pay tribute. In fact, today I used the most romantic song I could think of…Ugly Kid Joe's "Everything About You". Because that song? Screams love.

bax, your comments are closed on your site, so I will comment here. I actually agree with your post. My point is that Valentine's Day shouldn't be about buying the most expensive gift. But sadly, it is. You can show someone you care without buying into the thought process that you have to spend big bucks.

Freaking embarrassing. I'm probably a victim of the Anti-Candy-Heart & Valentines Defamation League.
Also, fixed: http://changeathing.com/2012/0…..mark-halo/

I am married but I surprise my wife all the time throughout the year. Today I have a little small trick under my sleeve. Not just because it's VDay but because I love to make her smile.

Just wrote a post that i think stores like vday more than my wife and I. She sees it as stores suckering me into buying her things. Damn society doing too much publicity for this holiday. Singles feel bad being alone. Couples feel like they have to buy something…tell me that is not contrived by retailers..

I don't mind buying things for my wife, I just don't like being told when to get her flowers. However, I did get her flowers today

I had a breakup two weeks ago myself. I celebrated Valentines day by making a new Podcast. It is at http://www.djyofi.com/yoficast-14/ if anyone is interested.
I look at Valentines as a day to celebrate my freedom, not a day to mope about being single

Agreed… breakups are never fun and Valentine's Day can be a bummer enough even w/o a breakup.
Loved all the Vday Posts I saw out there!

I'm not married so I'm still a sucker on Valentine's Day. I have to do really sweet things to offset the dumb things I do.
