For those that are coming to FINCON12, I'm presenting on How to Use Video to Build Your Brand.
For those that are planning on attending or just want to know, what types of things would you be curious on learning?
I have it outlined and working on it now, but I thought it would best to poll other other bloggers to make sure I don't miss anything.

This is something that I have been considering lately (for the future) and here's my list:
1 – Did you hire someone to create the cool GFC intro to your videos? If not, how did you create it?
2 – Hardware used to make the images (I know you've talked about this in the past)
3 – How long does it take to prepare one video?
4 – How has it helped you? Do you have concrete results? i.e. X amount of traffic, or subscribers that increases faithful followers? income – do you make a lot on youtube's version of adsense (I think that's a real thing..)
5 – Is there an optimal length of each video? Or what do you aim for?
6 – How frequently do you publish a video?
Looking forward to meeting you!

Good luck with your presentation.
I guess you could call my aversion to video part of my brand. As a rule, I don't watch them, so I'm not going to waste my time making them.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I would love to be able to come but the timing stinks. Will you be posting a video of your video presentation after the fact?

I'd like to know how (or even whether!) to build separate brands. (Meaning, does "build your brand" mean for you as a person, or for each site you have, for a combination of the two, etc?)

I would like to know what software you use to edit your videos, and how long that usually takes.

Jeff, I love your videos, and can't wait for your presentation! Can you come to my house and do my videos for me? I'm getting too bogged down :)

Oh, one more. When you make a mistake on a video (say, at 13:00 in a 20 minute video), how do you handle that in terms of editing? Do you simply use text to correct the mistake, reshoot the entire video, or somehow reshoot a portion…and how do you do it?

Haha! I screw up more than anybody I'm sure. Without editing software it blows. But if you do…..really easy.
If I screw up, I just take a breath, and start over where I screw up at. In iMovie (or any editing software) they have "transitions" you can insert to bridge the two cuts together after you delete the screwed up part. Take a look at this video on the Best Places to Open a Roth IRA at the :40 second mark. You can see the transition that I did after I screwed up.
Sometimes you don't even need a transition. You can just cut the clip. It just depends on what look you're going for.
This might all sound difficult, but I promise you, it's not any harder than figuring out out to right align an image in a post. Once you do it a few times, it gets really easy.
