For the holiday season, I'm thinking we should have a design contest here at Yakezie.
We could vote for the best designed Yakezie blog, and then the winners get a prize or something.
Do you think this idea is a fly or no fly?

how about a design contest makeover for the Yakezie member/challenger badge instead of a whole blog?

What I meant was, a contest to see which Yakezie member had the best looking blog.

How about designing a holiday badge? Maybe something like what Google does to it's home page each year?
I would be in. We could get voting going and name a prize.

That would be pretty cool.

I think we can just email Sam. I know there was some talk too about a holiday giveaway and I think Kay from Bucksome Boomer was organizing it. Maybe we can design a holiday logo and use it for the giveaway.

I definitely love the tweaking the Yakezie badge contest idea. I'm not very keen to make too many changes to my site's design. I think that constantly changing your theme, design, or branding confuses readers.

I dig it! I'm about to redesign my blog (since mine is not the right shade of blue and I can't fix it since the image is built in and it buuuuggsss me).
I would love to do something for the holidays like that though too! :) Too bad I have no skills :(

I would love a holiday design for the Yakezie Holiday giveaway. I had requested anyone with the talent to please help out so this would be perfect.
I'll put another call out for the holiday giveaway in that thread too. It's been a while!

Great idea Tony. It would be awesome fun to design a holiday logo for Yakezie.
If anyone wants to try, but is not sure how to approach this, here's what I would do. Copy Yakezie badge or logo directly from the site, then paste into PowerPoint. Use shapes to build design then save as .PNG and open in Corel to clarify colors and size correctly.
Is there another, easier way do approach this?

Actually, this great idea wasn't mine. All credits to Latisha! We could use photoshop, or some other free online image editor to do this. So I'd like to put this together, if you guys don't mind?

How cool, I would love to swap out to a holiday yakezie badge! I've been thinking of putting a slow javascript snowfall on my site as the holidays grow near too.
Excellent ideas!
