Hey all,
I have been trying to get a catchy phrase to use as my slogan (to use under my logo, "20's Finances") what do you think of my new one?
"Finances for Forward Thinkers"
I am trying to illustrate two audiences – aimed both at young people in their twenties, but also point out that anyone who is interested in thinking toward your future can find interesting topics at 20's Finances. A lot of what I talk about is being responsible with your finances, so I thought this might work, but wanted to hear your thoughts.
Honest feedback is welcome! Thanks,
p.s. I am also working on upgrading my logo/banner. I hope you are excited to see the new one soon. :)

I like it a lot, but I think you should consider "finance" instead of "finances" – it flows better in my opinion.

I agree with So Over Debt. Finance is much cleaner.

I agree with sooverdebt. Go with "Finance", it just sounds more natural

New logos are always exciting!
I think the tagline sounds good. It's specific and explains your audience in a nutshell.
Personally, I'd have at least a few brain storm ideas, rather than just one. Options are always nice. Plus then if you decide to go with your first option you'll be that much more convinced it is a good one!

I agree with everyone about the "finance" vs "finances" but you are going to be changing that anyway, so to be of some use :) I will add this – don't want to have a slogan that also describes your other audience? 20 somethings? There is a disconnect between your blog name and the slogan. Can you somehow describe the entire target audience in a slogan?

Thanks suba for the response. I was thinking that people in their 20's who are reading my blog are forward thinkers. I will think about this a bit more… Thanks.

WRT Logo: Don't change your logo too much. I think yours is one of the best, most distinctive in the community. Love the colors, the shadow, the 3d. It' very cool.

I agree that you have a cool logo. I like "Finance" better as well, but I'm not sure how it ties in with the title/theme of your blog. Then again, that's probably overthinking and I'm guessing most visitors wouldn't even make that correlation. :)

Just went to your blog to see that cool logo, and think you should make the slogan a little larger. I think the slogan is good because it does broaden the audience.

Wow, thanks for all of the helpful feedback. Yes, the main reason for working on a new logo is to make it a little wider (to change the width vs. height proportion). Right now, if I just increase the size of the current logo, it pushes everything down. So, back to the drawing boards. This time, I am getting a little help. I will keep the details a secret for now (to add suspense).
I will be sure to update you all once I am satisfied with a new logo to get more feedback.
Thanks again for the feedback on the slogan as well.

I think it is a great slogan. Like others have said though go with "finance". Looking forward to your other changes too.

Whatever you decide will be great, but I'm honestly not crazy about the slogan. It just seems to general. What does "forward thinkers" really mean? I guess I'd rather see some specific targets: debt, earning more money, couponing, acheiving financial freedom, getting out of their job….I don't know what you're going for, but hopefully this helps.
I don't mean to be a downer, but I'd rather people be honest with me about this stuff. I'd want to truly have a kick-butt slogan! :) Good luck!
