I really do not know much about Mozrank, but just did a check of my blog– and I'm pretty fascinated with my grade under Domain Authority. Does anybody know what any of it means? I checked on another site, http://moonsy.com/mozrank.php and it says my MozRank is 4.09. Guess I am doing something right?!

Since your blog is hosted on free Wordpress, you're seeing the domain authority for wordpress.com. Unfortunately not a stat you can claim, though your page authority is yours!

I don't know what a "good" range is, but most of the time, I am asked about DA 35 and more…rarely 40 or more…
Ditto. 35 seems to be a good benchmark and if you get above that into the upper 40s, or even into the low/mid 50s you are doing quite well. If you get into the 60s your site is rockin' it.
Oh man, I moved… to a 34!!!

Domain authority is the key metric that they look at. Google has moved to a "brand" focus. i.e. Their main customers, the large corporate advertisers will be the main beneficiaries of any Google search. The closer you look like a brand company, the higher you will rank. This means in your activities.

Glad this thread has got some discussion going. Domain and Page Authority are increasingly become important metrics.
I think one of the main components is just time. Give your blog a couple years of consistent writing, and I'm sure many can break 50.

Sam,
Great question.
DA & PA are what the majority of advertisers look for, along with PR.
Middle ground seems to be 35. If you're 40+, you're above the majority.
Like Tom said, it takes time and links.
I'm a 38, and I'm happy about it.

Interesting – I have 54 for page authority and 45 for domain authority. I've never really seen anyone quote that metric- do you guys have any suggestion how to use it (since it appears I'm in the above average category).

My stats on CheckDomain.com are pretty much just 1's and zero's across the board..
Perhaps this is only because we are a few months old, and I shouldn't worry about it.
I think we are doing pretty well, as we are getting good traffic and our Alexa is <150k.
Of course, our google pagerank is still zero. (I get this one).
MozRank, Domain MozRank, and Ext Links are also zero. (I think they update sporadically, like google PR).
Our Domain *and* Page Authority are both one.
More concerning, The social networking side doesn't give us any credit for twitter, facebook, or g+.
We have been fairly active in all 3, so I wonder if somehow we aren't getting credit where credit is due.
I used the link that Sam included in his post. All of my numbers look reasonable but I too have big zero's for all of my social media accounts. Not sure if it is hurting or not. Like I said, PR is 3, mozrank is 4.

Domain Authority ranges from 0 to 100. Domain Authority is a competitive metric to analyse two or more different competitor website. Domain Authority above 40 is considered good.

In my humble opinion I think your site truly becomes an "authority site" when it passes 60, it becomes far easier to rank for keywords much quicker, I'm speaking of DA. I don't know about PA, haven't tracked it much.

Same for me on my newest site, there seems to be a shelving period. I'm sure your actual site has more authority in the eyes of Google. Your traffic should tell you more about that, Google analytics is what I look to first over the rest, gotta remember these are only tools to tell us how much respect google will give our sites. Google is what matters, so if the other tools won't play nice right now, depend on GA and your organic traffic signals, you'll surely show up on opensiteexplorer soon. It seems you're getting good (and well-deserved)links. Looks like CheckDomain is pulling it's info from opensiteexplorer.
