Please excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is a MozRank, and how do I check it for my site. I'm familiar with SEO, but this is something that I've heard about but not very familiar with.

MozRank is another one of those arbitrary ranking tools that no one really understands. Or at least I don't! :)

You can read about it at SEOmoz.org – they explain it far better than I could. I believe that site also has a way to check, but you can also use this one: http://www.check-domains.com/website-analysis/website-analyzer.php

There are quite a few great posts by members who wrote on mozRank quite extensively.  Here are a few of those articles:

http://www.investitwisely.com/…..-pagerank/

http://knsfinancial.com/mozran…..-pagerank/

If you want to read more just google "what is mozrank" and you'll see a number of familiar sites (Yakezie) who have written about mozRank in the first few pages of the results.

I don't know really how it's calculated.. but the higher the better with Moz, and from what I understand it's link related.
