Hey there!
As you can see, I'm giving a lot of information away on the Yakezie forum and I intend to continue. While I have several ideas in mind, I would be curious to know which topic you would like me to cover first. I don't have the answer to everything but I guess you can surely use my input somehow ;-D
so do you want more tricks about making money, getting traffic, using Market Samurai (I have a post coming this Wednesday on The Financial Blogger for that) or any thing else?
Let me know and I'll try to help ;-)
cheers,
Mike

I would love to know more about making money, getting traffic and creating a dynamic subscriber base that comments frequently.

What are the top 3-5 things that I should do every day (or every week) to increase traffic and grow my blog? Should I comment on X number of sites each day or week? Should I work on guest blogs? Should I have a certain number of posts ready in advance at all times? Should I work on marketing through ads? Should I submit posts to carnivals every week? There are so many ways that I can spend my blogging time. How should I prioritize?

I'd like to learn how to attract more advertisers especially w/o having a pagerank. If not attract them, know how to find and solicit advertisers.
Our alexa is about to get under 100k and our mozRank is 5.2 but we've never been approached directly by an advertiser.
Monetization is not our goal, but we read … get good "mozRank" and you can get advertising … get Alexa under 200k and you can get advertising … would be neat to see this actually happen sans page rank.

I can't wait for that Market Samurai post! I know that I am not using it to the full potential.
I would like to know what common blog tips are really just a waste of time for someone looking to monetize a site.

We're not ready to pay for anything aside from a domain name :)

I've always had a general level of curiosity in "vlogging." I'm not much for video editing, nor do I think I'd be any good at it, but I think its an interesting medium, even if I'm not too fond of videos on blogs myself. (I feel like they slow down content delivery; it's much harder to skip to relevant/interesting parts of a video than it is an article.)

I would love to know how to get a good, loyal, and large viewer base. Traffic is great, but I want good quality traffic with 'guests' who appreciate my blog and the work I am putting into it and look forward to visiting it on a regular basis. I want my blog to be a fun "destination site" for my viewers.
Good content is obvious a necessity, but how do you get people to find out about your content? How do you get noticed by a large number of people?
Incidentally, sites like Man vs Debt, Frugal Dad, The Frugal Girl, and The Simple Dollar all inspire me because each has a large and loyal fan base.
And if anyone wants to offer tips on my site, please feel free!

I also am interested in the most effective ways to grow traffic. By effective I mean least amount of time spent per 10 visitors, etc.

In my experience, the best thing for AdSense outside of search engine traffic is mainstream media traffic. These people are typically less internet savvy and less blind to ads, so they will tend to click more. If you think up some scheme to get in an online newspaper then you might both get more subscribers and more AdSense clicks.
Easier said than done, I know – but maybe it is something you hadn't thought of devoting some energy towards doing.
It may also help to change your ad formats. They currently seem quite small and unnoticeable. There has been some talk on the boards lately too that text ads perform generally better than image ads, so try cutting out the images. I also think it is a mistake not to have at least one ad block on your main page. I'm guessing a significant portion of your traffic passes through your homepage, does it not?

I'd like to gain readers who actually care to read not just stop by for my giveaways. I've lost commentors and readers by the buckets full lately. I need to know if what I'm putting out there is just that boring or am I doing something wrong.

Our MozRank fell 1.1 today. No idea why, but it can't help us i'm certain.
Alexa is on the verge of dropping below 100k – but we've never had an advertiser approach us.
Help us TFB!

I'd like to learn more about SEO too. Specifically, what it takes to keep a top ranking keyword over the long term.
