What Should I Do With My Blog Header?

So, as most of you know, my wife and I recently moved from Florida to Michigan. Just before we moved, my wife designed a new header for me (in the spirit of the trip), but now that we're settled, the header is beginning to seem out of place.

What is your opinion on the header? Since my site is gaining traffic lately, I'd like it to look more clean and professional. Do you think that's a good way to go?

can you share the new header? load it to your server and post a link here…

i've always liked the stick figure header, but i can see the desire to move to a more professional / cleaner cut look

should start getting warmer in MI :)

Please do not tell your wife this, but I thought that the header was you and a daughter or little sister or something…she must be as short as me!  :-)

Yep, it may be ready to move on since the actual move is over…good luck!

I actually never even realized that the florida and michigan states were highlighted! I'd probably move to something different since the move is over too.

Haha! You have to remember though, I'm 6'8", so anyone looks like a shrimp next to me. She's about 5'4". :)

I don't have a new header yet, but my wife and I are brainstorming some options. I'm hoping to get a new design up by Sunday – I'd love to hear your opinions once it's up too.

6'8"?!  DANG!  I'm 5'2"…yep, totally shrimpy.  :-)  My step-dad is 6'4" so I'm used to feeling short, lol.  I even thought my husband was initially "too tall" at 5'11", hahaha.

I like the current header, but probably it doesn't make as much sense since you've completed the move.

I'm in the West Michigan area. And yeah, I have run into quite a few bloggers from Michigan as well! Most of them are from the East side though.

Yeah, I think you should change it as well. I have no idea what the new one should be – I am not creative at all.

What is the overall theme of your blog going to be now?

Well, my blog will remain its focus on getting out of debt, saving money, and becoming wealthy, if that's what you mean. I just want to make it a cleaner look. Perhaps something with only one or two colors – and maybe an icon that's specific to my site as well.

Yeah, I'm happy to be back in Michigan where I feel semi-normal. My brothers are 6'7", 6'7", and 6'3", and my sister is 6'1". Ha, my wife, on the other hand, feels dwarfed… understandably.

Haha. I didn't know that my height would get so much discussion! :) Guess I should have figured.

I don't have a new header yet, but I'll be working on that this week. Stay tuned.

That is actually a great idea! I'm not sure why I haven't thought of that…
