I read last night that all posts and comments from May 11 were lost – http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023…..28-93.html. I'm hoping it's back soon – my traffic was up quite a bit this week, and I wanted to post today!

To be honest, I have been using blogger for various projects for years and this is the first major shut down I have ever experienced with them. Therefore, as annoying as it is I am trying to see the big picture and not let it upset me. Now, if this type of thing suddenly becomes commonplace I would consider switching. Until then, I remain happy with blogger.

I definitely agree. Blogger isn't perfect, and the concerns are real. However, I just saw the most recent status update from Blogger. Looks like it'll be back soon!

Blogger is functioning normally again. Was able to re-post my post from yesterday from the archive version they sent me when I first published it. Intense Debate comments were automatically filled back! Great success!

I am still missing my content from Wednesday (I do have a back-up that I will repost if need be) but it sounds like Blogger plans to get everything back up and running. In my ongoing attempts to overcome the shortcomings of Blogger, I've discovered another useful resource/thing that the other Blogger users can use..

The link above describes how to automatically generate meta tags from your post titles and post labels for BOTH NEW AND OLD posts! Pretty cool stuff!
Takes about 30 min to figure out, but I hope it helps!

My sister just found out a pretty cool feature that Blogger offers! If you add "/?m=1" to the end of your blogger blog's url, it takes you to a smart phone friendly version of your site! Just take a look at the examples below!

Jacob, I read your site from the phone when I traveling, it automatically shows it like that in my phone. For wordpress sites only very few I see it in mobile version (I am assuming they have something configured to show it in mobile version). I like that blogger does that automatically…
