Hello guys,
I feel like I'm posting way too many questions here, but I hope that is okay. So many questions arise about blogging I don't know where to turn to besides here at Yakezie.
I have a full-time job, so I usually create a post during my lunch in the hours between 11:30 – 1:00 PM and I'm not sure if it's best for me to publish my post right then and there or schedule to post next morning.
I came across a infographic at http://dashburst.com/report/be…..e-to-blog/ and it shows that best time to publish is in the morning. But I'm thinking if I publish 1:00 in the afternoon, won't my reader find it in the morning anyway… does that make sense?
What are you guys' thoughts on this?

I schedule my posts to publish a few minutes after midnight (PST.)
Maybe I'll try 7am PST for a while and see if it makes any difference.

I don't think it makes a huge difference when you post. I've toyed with different posting times and haven't noticed any changes in the amount of traffic my new posts get (FWIW, I settled on 8:30am EST). The best posts are the ones that will bring you traffic from Google and other places 6 mos down the road, not the ones that get the most views in the first few hours of publishing. And for that purpose, the time it was published doesn't matter one bit.

I don't think there is really a big difference. I usually post mine at 6am EST because that is the time that works for me. People post all day long, so I don't think there is a magic time.

I usually publish just after midnight too. I notice there are always (3-5) comments, when I check in the morning (6:45 AM Pacific time).

I publish at 7am Mountain Time, but I've noticed that most of my comments come the following day. So…

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I always like my posts to go live at 12:15am PST. Given my investing focus, many Wall Streeters on the East Coast get up and read by like 5am EST, which is 2am here.
In fact, I've scheduled tweets for new posts to go at 3am PST, and I've received hundreds of visitors before I even wake up at 7am.
I think the earlier you post, the better!

I'll have to go with Robert on this one. I think being early is important as I know that I get a good bit of traffic early in the morning and beyond that by having the same time it brings consistency so the reader can know when to expect your posts. That said, you have to go with what works for you.

I usually go with early in the morning, before 5am local time (Central). The reason is that some people start their day early, and visit blogs during these hours. Perhaps before work, or other professional/household responsibilities.

Earlier in the day is definitely the more popular time, but your risk is that your post gets lost in the rush of everybody elses.
It's all about writing good content. Do that, and you will find traffic no matter what time of the day the post goes up.

I publish my posts at 2:30 am or so. Just because I find more people read in the morning, but it doesn't usually make a huge difference in traffic.

I've been publishing at 5am EST. I like doing it early enough that people can see it when they check first thing, but not too early so that is gets buried behind other posts in a reader. I have no stats to back up whether this is a good strategy, just the logic that I came up with. I do agree with some others though that the post time probably doesn't matter much as long as you're doing the other things well.

I have just recently made the conscious decision to totally disregard selecting the best times and days to post articles to my blog. The reason is that it was significantly slowing down my productivity. Once I was happy with a post I was thinking I will wait until later in the day to post as I'm in the UK and want to catch the US awake. Often I would end up being busy and not posting that day, so it would get delayed a day, sometimes 2. Also if I finished an article at the weekend I was waiting until Monday to post it. Sometimes I was busy and left it until Tuesday or Wednesday. That's wasting days.
Now, once I am happy with an article I will just post it straight away, regardless of time or day. That way I can forget about it and get on with writing my next one. It seems to make little difference when my articles are posted, so this has been a good change for me. I think in a way I was subconsciously using it as a form of procrastination. I have no excuses any more!

I post in the morning and that gets a little morning rush from other bloggers mainly, the rest of the readership comes evenly during the day. I have tried to do mid day posts too and they get about the same traffic, since RSS readers are not the majority of traffic.

I'm going to go with what John said – when I worry about when I post it hurts my productivity…even though I can schedule my post to publish at anytime. Mental block?
Do what works best for you. If you can schedule your posts to publish while you're sleeping, then try that for a couple of weeks and see if it helps traffic. Otherwise, do whatever makes you most productive.
