Here are Suba's instructions for creating a folder in your bookmarks for your team. I would suggest using http://www.urlopener.com/index.php to open all the sites at once, and then create the bookmarks:

For chrome -

-Open all the 15 websites in one window

-right click on one of the tabs and select bookmark all tabs

-give this folder a name

-open the bookmark organizer (or paste this - chrome://bookmarks/ ) and move that folder to bookmarks toolbar.

-everytime you want to visit all the site, right click this folder
and select "open all bookmarks in new window" This will open a new
window with all the bookmarks.

For firefox

-Open all the 15 websites in one window

-right click on one of the tabs and select bookmark all tabs

-give this folder a name

-The folder will show up in the "bookmarks" menu. You could just drag and drop this folder to the bookmarks toolbar.

-right click this folder and click "open all bookmarks" this will do the same.

Found a new shortcut to bookmark all open tabs:   Ctrl + shift + D or for Mac Command + shift + D

Is anyone else seeing more activity from this?

Maybe I just had an awesome summer group but I am not seeing as much interaction in my group.

My activity isn't quite as good as it was with the summer group, but I'd say a lot of that is on me. I'm not posting as much, and I haven't been able to comment as much as I want either.

I'm seeing activity but not as much as my summer group.  Was a little disappointed that someone in my group hosted a blog carnival today and didn't include my article, but I guess you can't win 'em all :)

I still think it's a great idea.  I try to comment as much as I can with others in my group, and do a tweet now and then. I also make sure to open everybodys site at least twice a week and go to a few pages to juice up the Alexa rankings.

I am seeing some activity but not a ton, but I must admit that my own activity has been at a medium-to-low level given my work schedule lately.

I'm kind of failing at supporting my group, and I feel like crap because of it. I was much more active during the summer. I WILL improve, Team 3!

I, too, have been slacking.  I'm improving as of tonight though!  I visited all of my team, and left comments on at least half!  Challenging myself to do that every day now.

Agreed, not as much as in our summer group.

I've been getting back into the challenge this past week, seeing some great stuff. I finally dropped below 200k in the last week of September thanks to the awesomeness of Group 5. Thanks everyone!!

I feel bad as well! With the conference and then parents visiting over the last two weeks, I've been swamped.

But my efforts are doubling up as my schedule is open again. Sorry Team 2–I'm coming 'round!

I think I've been slacking a bit as well. I have a VA (my wife) doing the commenting and promoting for me, but she was ill in September. She still visited all the team 2 and team 4 sites each day.

I've also noticed fewer comments, which is all we can really judge by for participation levels.  For myself, I open every site in both of the groups I'm in every day, and comment at least once a week on each site. I just have it in my calendar and make sure to do it. Opening and clicking on a link on each site takes very little time each day, since I have them set up as bookmark groups in Chrome.  Commenting takes between 1hr-1.5hrs a week.

I should add though, that if someone hasn't posted anything new in more than a week, I don't comment again until they do.

I haven't been reliable at commenting, but I visit every site in my group at least every weekday, and I'm pretty good about getting the posts on twitter and reddit.

Ok, at least it's not just me :)

Let's all work on visiting once a day and clicking on the latest post (to avoid high bounce rates)

And comment OR tweet once a week. I think a tweet is just as good as a comment personally, because it has the potential to reach more people. That way, if you don't have the time to comment, you can at least RT.

I set up a list for team 2 here http://twitter.com/#!/list/FSYAonline/yakezie-fall-team-2

I agree with that. If you can't comment on my article, a simple RT will be fine. Oh, Team 2, don't forget to update your bookmark folder with LaTisha's new URL.

Shoot, I missed this back in September.  What will be the date for when the winter teams start?  I want to make a big push over the next 3 months and will be adopting a 3 post per week schedule on M-W-F a la Derek.  I like the team concept and want to make sure that I can get in for winter.  I have been motivated by all your posts regarding the conference.  Thanks a bunch for the information.  Too bad I couldn't go, but maybe next year.
