I like the idea. Going over to sign up now!

One thing that would be a good idea, in my view, is to switch up groups every month. This will be good for us to establish familiarity and stronger relationships with more of us, which can only help each of us in the long run.  An open sign up each month seems like a good idea.  We'll see how it goes, but if this goes well, it could be a regular thing and we would each have the flexibility to sign up only during months where we can fully participate.

Also, I plan to continue my normal pattern of commenting anyway – we'll see how it goes, but hopefully this will be an addition to it.

Of course it is okay… welcome!

Squirrels, I like your idea of having a new sign up periodically… it will keep things fresh and allow those who may be extra busy to take a breather, if need be.

Yes that is why I added more groups and not close it after 15. We could have a sign up sheet every 1 or 2 months and rotate blogs.

There are different tabs on that sheet, Melissa. Choose the sheet that corresponds to your group and enter your info.

Looks great! I signed up. Should we do it week by week or two weeks? How often are we switching it up?

Personally, I would vote that we keep 'teams' for 1-2 months, just for ease of book keeping and also to give us a chance to really get to 'know' each others blogs.

Just a reminder to everyone who signs up to also go to the next tab in the spreadsheet and add you site's details.  Thanks!

I would also prefer to keep teams for as long as possible.  I'd like to get a little more familiarity with each one, and switching groups too soon could get confusing.

I vote for 1-2 months too. Sometimes as life gets busy we might not even write more than a post on certain weeks, so 1-2 weeks would be too short for us to know each other.

I added my name to the group 1. I am the 15th person to sign up.

Haven't been around in a while, but just going to jump back in with both feet and continue to press on.

Love the idea, btw!

1 to 2 weeks seems too short.  I think 1 month seems good. Then we open it up to signups again for the next month.

Maybe we could have a schedule, such as sign up by a certain date each month, like the 25th or so. Teams are then finalized, then everything starts on the 1st and continues through the end of end the month. Sign ups for the next month start in the background, then the schedule starts again.

Just thinking out loud here….

Looking forward to this.

Since Group 1 is full, can we start the activities starting today? in fact right now?

No, I think we need to wait to see how many sign up in total. If only 9 sign up in Group 2, for example, we may have to take the 24 total and make 2 equal groups.

Plus, just as important, we need to finalize some of the parameters – primarly a regular timetable for how often we do this, what the schedule will be for signups, etc.

We'll get there soon:)

1 month sounds good and I like the idea of having the sign up deadline.

I joined Group 2 (Wealth Informatics, Squirrelers, et al.)

I'll start making my rounds now if anyone else wants to join me.

No need to wait for the list to be full! :)
