Why You Should Keep a Large Queue

Hey Everyone,

Just thought I would let you know a great reason (IMO) why you should keep a large queue. http://www.passiveincometoreti…..important/

If you want to get the most important point, skim to the last point. Hint: It's not just in case you get sick or something. There' actually something that I don't think you will expect.

Just thought you should be prepared in case you are accused of the same thing as I was.

Corey

I like to keep a queue too, but I am surprised someone accused you of stealing.  I think that is one thing about blogging it seems like a lot of people write about similar topics. Unless it's word for word, it is just the nature of the beast.

I'm also kind of shocked that someone accused you of stealing. As Niki pointed out, it's quite common for bloggers to write about the same topic especially if it's current events or something along those lines. It's impossible to have a monopoly on ideas as your accuser apparently thinks.

I don't necessarily keep a queue but I do have a very extensive topic list. I'd like to get to the point that I have a queue but I guess it's good to have dreams…

Since I spend 3 hours a day commuting and 8 hours on the job, its hard to find time to write articles.  My only time is after the kids go to bed, so right now I'm in the process of building my queue

Definitely very interesting read. It sad that a fellow PF blogger would jump to conclusions like that.

Seriously? Everything under the sun had been written about thousands of time. I don’t think she has a case.

I've been keeping about three weeks worth queued up. I wanted to have some built up as a fall-back to the transition I'm about to undergo with moving and going to be without home internet access for about two months. I've never blogged from the library/cafe/free wifi hotspot before, and I'm not sure yet how it will affect my productivity.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I've been building a queue trying to get about a month in advance (which is about 16 articles).  I'm right on the cusp.  My goal at that point is to use anything I get above and beyond that to feed the ability to guest post, so that I can pick one out of the queue to send over as a guest post.  I'm almost there :)

Hundreds of people wrote about the Suze Orman card, were they all stealing one person's idea? No way. Sometimes we write about similar topics. It happens.

I have a huge queue of "ideas for posts"..

But any that are actually written?.. Uh.. I have none.

I pretty much have been posting 'em as I write 'em.

Good to build at least some buffer of posts. While I sometimes write and publish almost simultaneously, I do try to keep a week or more of posts scheduled ahead of time. It's not always possible, but when you get really busy (like I'm about to get), it helps.

One more thing – that's too bad that you were accused.  Seems like there are some touchy people. Good to have that proof of saved revisions! Still, there are many times where people might be writing about the same topic around the same time, so there's no need for people to get upset in most cases at pure coincidence.

I think people are stealing my good ideas. I read tons of great blog posts and say, "Man! I wanted to write about that!" :-)

I'm aiming for a months worth of posts queued as well.  I think it takes a lot of the pressure off of your writing when you don't always have to write so you can post immediately.  It also helps so you can take a weekend off, go on vacation, spend time with the family without feeling guilty or anything else that requires a significant free block of time.

I have a few days worth and I thought that was good, now I see that you have a month and it makes me want to get to work on getting some more saved up!Laugh

It is sad that you were accused.  Finance is only so large and I do not see any new financial concepts being developed so obviously there is going to be overlap!
